Number of times a Search Term must occur to be counted seperately [n]
Many search terms will be long or unusual. There is no need to count all search terms if you specify a threshhold here.
NB The threshhold count is the number of times the search term must appear in the log file. It is therefore possible that you specify a count of 10 but still see seperate lines for search terms with *user* counts of 7 or 8. This can occur when some users (using the same IP with 120 minutes) click on the search results twice to be referred to your site.
Search terms not counted because the threshhold is not reached will be counted as a single group. This group will be shown on a line with search term:
.. Not counted separately ..
If option Add Search Terms not counted to defined groups is checked, each search term not counted because the threshhold is not reached will be added to a count for a group if possible. If a search term is not contained in a group it will be added to the .. Not counted separately .. group.
Any Search terms not counted because the threshhold is not reached and which are included in a group will be shown on a line with search term:
.. Grouped: xxxxxx
where xxxxx is the group name.
When this option is checked then the total for the group on the report Grouped Search Terms will include those search terms not counted because the threshhold is not reached.
NB Report Search Terms for Group of selected line is NOT available for the Group of Search terms not counted because the threshhold for the search term is not reached. This report is not available for grouped lines or single not counted seperately line. Both Reports menu item Search Terms for Group of selected line and the corresponding context menu item will not be available.
Show Line for Users NOT referred by a search engine.
Check this option to add a single line for all users who were not referred by a search engine.
Counts for this group of users will be shown on a line with search term:
.. NOT SEARCH ENGINE ..
File Types to skip when counting Avg htm & Surf thru to page. [y]
For each Search Term, Web Log Analyzer by Search Term will make a list of pages to which users finding your site using that keyword surfed to. This list is also used to determine whether a user surfed to other pages on our site and pages that can be counted to calculated average number of pages to which users surfed.
This list should be file types which cannot be counted for any of these report items. Usually all image file types will be included here.
Both File Type lists must be file types (case - capitalization - is not important) seperated by | character.
File Types to count when calculate avg htm. NB file types skipped cannot be counted. [p]
Web Log Analyzer by Search Term reports show the average number of pages to which users surfed. Only pages in this list will be counted. File types skipped cannot be counted.
