This is the context specific help for Web Log Analysis by Search Term for function Top Search Terms. It will be show when Shift+F1 is pressed after using menu item Top Search Terms on menu "Reports".

'Top Search Terms' - Program Help start.

This report will show the statistics for the most common search terms with which users found your site.

The Date Range and targets which were analysed are shown to the right of the results grid.

The report shows total number of unique users who found the site with each search term. The number who stayed are those who clicked any link on the page found to surf to another page or download a file on the same site.

Web Log Analyzer by Search Term will check the logs provided for a 120 minute period after the user surfs to the first page. A user is counted as a unique user if the web logs shows the same IP address. If a user disconnects and then reconnects the IP address will probably change and the user will be counted as a different user.

For each search term the search engines with which the user found that search term are listed. Google.com, google.de, etc will all be listed as GOOGLE.

The page found and page or files to which the user surfs are also listed.

To see all of the search engines, pages surfed to, etc. increase the row height. Or use the context menu for the results grid and select Thick lines. Click the right mouse button when the mouse is on the grid.
