'Analyze for Targets and Dates Selected ' - Program Help start.

Analyse all log data for date range entered using Date range Options for Analyse. Check which of the targets specified using Targets to Analyse have been achieved for each user.
This option will compile statistics for each search term which can be usd to produce the various reports on menu Reports.

Analyse will be done automatically as soon as the first Report is requested. This menu option need only be used if you increased the data range to be analysed or changed targets and chose not to analyse-create a report then.

To reduce the amount of time to do analysis and resolve problems with excess memory use, try the following:
1. Use Date range Options for Analyse from the Select menu and decrease the date range to be analysed.

If dates or analysis options are changed using Date range Options for Analyse then data must always be analysed again.

If targets are changed using Targets to Analyse, data must always be analysed again.

Each time date is analysed using Analyze for Targets and Dates Selected or by requesting a report after dates and options have been changed, data added etc., a fresh set of results are created. Each set of results will create a different report. Use Analysed data (results for targets over date range) to select the analysed data required. After selecting a report, results sets for the selected type of report (Search Term or Start page or ... etc.) will be listed. Date range and targets analysed are shown for each set of results.

Note that results sets for Search Term are seperate from those for Start Page. When a report by Search terms is selected, you will see *only* a list of results created for search terms.

NB With a large date range and many search terms, a lot of memory could be used for each set of analysed data. If you get any problems or errors with memory use, restart Web Log Analyzer.
