Change File List / Selected Element
Use this option to remove files from the list to be read or to change the HTML element for which tags should be listed.
Press OK to reread all files that are included on the list and analyse the contents for the selected element. The lists of all elements found and WWW addresses found will also be refreshed.
If you want to keep the examples/data on the current screen, check Create New Window. The results of analysis with the changed list of files and the newly selected element will then be shown in a new HTML Detail window.
Several files can be removed from the list at once by keeping Shift and/or Ctrl pressed when selecting files with the mouse or up/down-arrow keys. It is not possible to remove a single file, at least one file is required.
Use the add button to select extra files to be added to the list. The Ctrl and Shift keys can be used to select more than one file.
If a file to be read does not exist. An error will be listed for that file when the analysis is done.
The selected element can also be changed by double-clicking an element in the list of All HTML elements for the list of files [or pressing the double click key - usually Z]. A button to reread for the selected Element will then be available.
Show Problem/Error List
When Files are analysed any error or problem will be recorded here. Whenever possible the analysis will continue with either the rest of the current file or the next file.
For Example:
If a file to be read does not exist, an error will be listed for that file.
Show Stats
Show Stats will show how many items have been found for all files in the file list as well as for the last single file read.
The first part is the total number of tags, addresses, scripts etc. for all files that have been analysed.
The second part will be shown only if a single file has been read seperately and includes both the title / path and file name of the single file and the counts for that file only.
A single file is read when Alt+Up/Down are pressed and View: Document as Tags N Text is selected or when any Popup List for Selected File is displayed.
The total list of tags, addresses, scripts etc. (for all files that have been analysed) can be displayed on the main screen by changing the item checked under List of Tags section on the View menu.
Keys are also available [Usually E, P, M, S for selected Element, Scripts, Comments, Stylesheets respectively] to change quickly from one display to another.
Option "Popup List for All files" on the view menu can be used to show the list for all files in a popup/message screen.
The list of tags, addresses, scripts etc. for a single files can be displayed using option Popup List for Selected File. First select the file in the Titles section using the mouse or Up/Down arrow keys.

When this option is selected only tags which include the selected attribute will be shown. To show all tags for the element select menu option List All Tags for Element
To Use this option first select the attribute required in the list of attributes (for the selected element) using the mouse or Up/Down arrow keys.
A List of attributes is only displayed when an element is selected. To select an element, use Change File List / Selected Element on the file menu or double click an element and press E.

When this option is selected all tags for the element will be shown.

Open Selected file
To Open/View a file in your browser or another application select the file required in the titles section and choose the menu option required.
Options are usually available
- to open the selected file in your default browser (in a new browser window).
- to open the selected file in the same browser window.
- to open the selected file in Notepad.
These options will be created when Kyboma setup is run according to the windows associations for file types htm, html (Actions: Open, Open In same Window) and ini or txt (Action: Open).
To change the action to be used, use option Define/Special Links from the Edit menu OF KYBOMA (I.e. the Kyboma File List screen NOT the HTML detail screen).
Exit
Use this option to exit the HTML detail screen when current examples are no longer required.
The next time you start Kyboma Example Extractor you will need to search for a new set of files to display examples.
Exit Keep all Windows
Use this option to exit the HTML detail screen and save all current examples and screen layouts.
The next the Example Extractor HTML Detail screen is shown you will be given options:
- to load but not display.
- to load and read all data.
In either case a window will be loaded corresponding to each window loaded when this option was last used. The file lists and layouts will be the same as those shown when you used this option.
Use the Show HTML Detail screen on the Example Extractor menu of Kyboma to reload/reread kept layouts and file lists.
