Shortcut Key to Cycle through windows
A Shortcut Key to cycle through the windows makes it very easy to view each FileList window in turn.
This means you can leave an existing window open when you start a new task.
When ready to return just press the same key to view each window in turn until you see the one required.
The cycle windows shortcut key is usually defined as Ctrl+Y.
Y will also work when keys are initialised using the option to add extra single Keys. See Include Extra Single Keys for Kyboma.
When you press the shortcut key, the current window will be changed to the next FileList window and that window will be displayed on top of all other windows.
The shortcut key will only cycle through FileList windows.
Show Text or Show Cell windows will be skipped.
Windows will always be shown in the same sequence.

Single Keystroke to Sort The File List. Any combination of columns allowed.
- Files can be sorted using a sort order with as many columns as required.
The sortorder can even be defined with the shortcut key for sort. See Sort Ascending - Sort.
| Double Click and Right Click Keys |
Double Click and Right Click Keys
Single keys are defined which will have the same effect as using double click or right click with the mouse.
The Double-Click key is usually Z.
The Right Click key is usually Q.
On a Keyboard with a special right click key, this will also work.
Right Click
The right click key will have the same effect as pressing the right mouse button:
A menu will be displayed with available functions in the current section of the FileList. Available functions depend on the selected item(s).
For the FileList section there are two parts to the Right-Click (context) menu:
- The formatting (GREEN) menu items work mostly on the GREEN selected rows and columns.
- The actions (BLUE) menu works on the list of files that are selected in Blue and marked with an * before the Sequence No.
Double-Click
When a file in the File List is Double Clicked, Kyboma will do the default action (usually Kyboma association) for the file type. See Use Of Kyboma Associations
When a directory in a multi-dir FileList (multiple directories is checked) is Double-Clicked, Kyboma will add the directory to the list of Dirs/Files to be read when refresh is done.
When a directory in a single-dir FileList without SubDirs is Double-Clicked, Kyboma will refresh the FileList with a single list for that directory.
When a directory in a single-dir FileList with SubDirs is Double-Clicked, Kyboma will sort the FileList in sequence of path and select the files in the directory double-clicked in GREEN.
When an entry in the directory tree is double-clicked, that directory will be expanded (all subdirectories shown) or contracted if already expanded.
An option is also available to refresh the FileList when a directory in the directory tree is double clicked. See Double click directory tree
